About the Author
Neurological Occupational therapist
I am Laila and I’m a clinical specialist qualified Occupational Therapist and the founder of HT Neuro Rehab in, London, a very reputable Occupational Therapy service. I am genuinely passionate about what I do; to me, it is a vocation and as well as my clinical work, I organise training for private occupational therapists in London. The student support includes helping those that want to learn more about the profession or if the profession is a career match. Additionally, I train students on clinical placement annually.
I constantly strive to stay up-to-date with new innovations in the field and I’m registered with the Health & Care Professional Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT). To find out more about what I do, please visit my website here or get in touch here.
My work is very much about helping people to regain their independence and I’ve had many different patients over my years as an OT. I help those with orthopaedic conditions, brain injuries, major trauma, accident and emergency cases and I also help retrain upper limbs as well as general rehabilitation. Additionally, I am highly trained in PDoC (Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness) and Functional Neurological Disorders (FND). This blog is for people looking for Occupational Therapy and for those wanting to know more about the role of an Occupational Therapist. I hope you find it useful.
